We were born in 2006, as a product of many happy circumstances that joined two diatonic accordions, one violin and one double bass to four people in love with traditional music and dance.
In our first shows we already introduced some original themes, to which we added several other traditional songs from Spain, France, UK, Israel and Portugal.
The wide acceptance from the audience lead us to a tour from north to south of Portugal, in more than forty shows and balls in our first year of life.
Along our way we built a repertoire of originals inspired by traditional dances (such as the Mazurca, the three, five, eight and eleven times Waltz, the Hanter Dro, the Circassian Circle, the Chapeloise, the Bourrée or the Malhão) and let ourselves be bewitched by other instruments that joined our group: the harp, the bagpipe, the banjo and the bandoneón.
Nowadays, we spend our time between the recording sessions of our first CD in the typical Lisbon neighbourhood of Graça (in which most of our members live and whose toponomy glues to our original themes), the weekends of inspiration in the Vicentina Atlantic Coast and an endless number of balls and shows.
And it’s precisely in our concerts, when we are in this fragile and magical space that separates our instruments, and what they want to say, from the audience, that we are completely happy.
